Long distance Hiking boots 2 of 2
These are boots we hike in winter with or climb mountains that fit crampons or snowshoes. They can’t get wet cause I feel though the ice once. So you can stay out in the wilderness all winter. But the ranger will start a search and rescue operation looking for you. If your socks and boots get wet and the temp never get above 20 F or -10 C. Nothing will dry. And fires won’t work, cause all the wood is under 6 feet of snow. And you would have to start the fire on 6 feet of snow. Plastic boots also give you a good kick hole to climb mountains covered with snow. For me, I think its insane to wear plastic boots around town to look cool. I’ve seen that to. I can not walk in them without snow very far. And prepare for your mileage to drop in the winter cause of shorter days and the deep snow. Also you must wear gators and carry crampons and snowshoes. The duck is female cause the males are brightly feathered.
