Hiking boots for months in the outdoors in all kinds of weather. All long distance hikers know this, if you don’t you just not a real LDH. Even if you go to the party Earl Shaffer never did.
The Montrail company used to be called One Sport, this One Sport sued them over the name. You can get the Hardrock’s at Zapple, but they are always sold out of the wides in my size 12. So I got 3 pairs. And they only last about 500 miles. You can wear them right out of the box. What I think makes me an expert on hiking boots, Is I never had a blister. So don’t listen to some dayhiker expert. Or a sidewalk runner, they have backed down to my attrition to. I also hiked 40 mile days. And a couple 30 and always 20 miles. So its like running a marathon every day for months in the mountains. So that’s what you look like to me through my eyes.
