I found these really nice hiking boots on-line, but they are mens and I can not find any like them in womens. I wear a size 8.5 in womens boots. Does any one know what size that would be in men’s. These are U.S. sizes.

I wear the same size as you. And I usually buy a men’s size 7. But since each shoe or boot is different it can be a size 7.5. You should check and see if they have a size chart. That will make it easier for you.

To translate womens to mens shoes sizes, subtract 2….so you would be a 6.5 in mens.

mens is 2 sizes bigger or 1.5 sizes bigger than womens so that means you are a 7 in mens or a 6.5

The first two answers are correct. I can’t understand why they were thumbed down (obviously by the incorrect response). Women’s shoes will be a 2 whole size difference, so a women’s 8.5 is the same as a mens 6.5. Sometimes I buy mens sneakers and I have to get them in a size 5 because I wear a 7 in womens. 4.5 is too small and 5.5 is too big. It is a 2 whole size difference. Not 1 or 1.5…*2*
