I found the same pair of walking/ hiking boots I was looking for on ebay for a really good price, the only catch is, they’re the ladies version. No visable difference. Anyway, I was just wondering, can a man physically wear ladies boots or is their some issue with the shape of them or something?

Yes and no, women’s and men’s feet differ in that women’s are generally narrower and their heels are less prominent, so ladies shoes are shaped differently. Also a women’s size 9 is smaller than a man’s size 9, so you can’t go by size, you’d have to buy a larger size and they still may not fit.

womens shoes are less broad. men tend to have broader feet. If you have skinny feet it should be fine.

depends what kind of boots they are. If they’re ladies’ hiking boots, then sure. But if they’re high heel knee high boots, then you’ll prolly look like a tranny.

If they look the same they probably are, just get the womans equivalent size. some womans boots are narrower, as well

The sizes are different. I know that a men’s size 9 is the equivalent of a women’s size 11. The sizes are the only main difference. There are usually a few style differences, but that’s only minor.

Normally a Ladies arch is more defined and deeper than a Mans. It is possible but you would really need to try the pair on first to make sure it will work. You just can’t go by the size because the sizing is a little different.

Yes. Know your width! A standard width for mens’ shoes is a D; a standard width for women is a B, which is narrower. Widths go from A-E, with A being on the narrow end (there are also AA, AAA, and AAAA for narrow feet, and EE, EEE, EEEE for feet wider than an E). Depending on your width, you could find B-width shoes too narrow for you to comfortably wear.

While widths are on a continuum from A-E in American shoes that include men and women, sizes are not. A womens’ 10 = a men’s 8, for example.

There are other subtle differences in the lasts (the design of the footbed) of womens’ and mens’ shoes, and it is probably best to look for mens’ boots if you possibly can. There are many, many hiking boots out there at different prices, and many websites that discount. You should get the right size for your feet. It isn’t worth it to get a shoe that doesn’t fit you well and cause pain or injury. Your best bet is to try on some boots at a retailer like EMS to see what brand is good for you, and then look for sales or discount sites that carry it.

The shape is different and the sizing is different. I am a female but I have a pair of men’s Timberland’s and they just don’t fit right even though they are the correct length.

Depends on the boot. It’s probably more narrow than the men’s shoe

If they fit your feet, then you can hear them. On the other side of the coin if you are getting a boot and the ladies version is the same EXACT thing, why would you want to? That has got to be one lame set of boots.
